Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy

Returns Window

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it: unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, contact us at hello@theswimmingowl.com with your order number and item details. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label (when applicable) and instructions on how and where to send your package.

🔔 Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as possible if your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

For damage claims, we require:

  • At least 2 clear photos of the damaged item from different angles

  • The shipping label is visible in at least one photo

  • At least 2 photos of the shipping box or mailer, including any visible damage

We may request additional photos or a short video so we can properly assess the issue.

Digitally altered or edited images may not be accepted as proof of damage.

In most cases, the damaged item will need to be returned to us before a refund or replacement is issued. This helps us work with our printers and shippers to prevent future issues.


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable (except in cases of damage or wrong item received):

  • Digital downloads (coloring pages, coloring books, art printables, etc.)

  • Gift cards

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Custom or personalized items

  • Original paintings and one-of-a-kind artwork

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to follow our return process for the item you have. Once your return is received and approved, you can place a new order for the item you’d like instead.


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase.


Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if your refund is approved.

If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
